| BR GRR Regulatory Financial NY Open (J#39646) Title: BR GRR Regulatory Financial Company: Deloitte Location: NE preferably (NY, CT or NJ) GRR, Regulatory and Compliance Services Industry - FSI, Securities Location: NE preferably (NY, CT or NJ) FINANCIAL REGULATORY FOCUS We are currently seeking Managers and Senior Managers with financial accounting and regulatory reporting experience to sell and deliver value added securities regulatory services. We seek a specialized combination of skills including securities accounting, auditing, and regulatory and financial reporting experience. We also seek candidates who have experience with business process and technology reengineering efforts, including configuring and implementing regulatory reporting infrastructures. Service areas include: - Review of calculations and processes supporting compliance with Financial Responsibility Rules, inclusive of Net Capital, Customer Protection and Possession and Control - Assist clients in responding to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions - Performing mock regulatory examinations/reviews - Provide audit support in the area of financial regulatory rules - Assessment/integration/strategic advice of regulatory and compliance reporting - Performing regulatory impact analyses when there are changes to business model, systems, controls, operations, finance or in reaction to new regulations - Identify/assist with correcting regulatory deficiencies and implementation of solutions - Assist management with the preparation of regulatory applications and related processes and to serve as a regulatory liaison - Defining books and records requirements - Assisting merger and acquisitions teams with performing a regulatory reporting assessment of the firm being analyzed Manager (Financial Regulatory Focus) Job Duties: - Demonstrate knowledge of the FOCUS reporting process and associated rules in order to lead consulting projects pertaining to regulatory reporting - Research and provide interpretive guidance on financial regulatory matters to Deloitte & Touche audit, non audit and other Deloitte & Touche professionals - Provide audit support in the area of financial regulatory rules - Demonstrate ability to interface with Operations, Compliance, Finance and Legal on US Broker/Dealer reporting requirements - Demonstrate the ability to participate in mock-SEC exams; develop and remediate policies and procedures, and assist with the response and/or remediation associated with regulatory actions - Participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions - Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo - Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services - Play role in engagement planning, economics, and billing - Play role in the training and development of staff - Provide on the job training to team members and participate in other training efforts - Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others - Play role in retention of professionals and in building staff complement, mix, and recruiting - Play role in enhancing relationships with Deloitte Audit, Tax and Consulting professionals - Identify opportunities to cross-sell other services - Demonstrate knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, Deloitte products and service lines - Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations - Understand clients' business environment and complex risk management approaches - Identify, lead and participate in proposal development efforts - Participate in "add-on" and new sales to client - Proactive leadership of market development initiatives - Proactive leadership of industry driven activities - Membership and visibility in professional & civic organizations - Play role in developing a strong relationship with internal Deloitte resources - 6 years experience in the areas of accounting services including a mix of public accounting, consulting and/or industry regulatory experience - BA/BS, Accounting/Finance majors desired - Regulatory expertise in financial regulatory expertise preferred - Management experience or exposure with regulatory and compliance risk including some interaction with Senior Management and the Board of Directors - In depth knowledge of FOCUS reporting, net capital, customer reserve formula (inclusive of possession or control) and Futures segregation calculations - Regulatory experience with SEC, FINRA, NYSE, or CFTC strongly desired - Certifications desired (e.
