Purpose: Assure compliance with regulatory agency, coordinate PI initiatives and to improve quality of care. Coordinated Medical Malpractice program to ensure quality of care and decrease present liability cost. Responsibilities: - Administrative oversight for the following departments: Risk Mgnt, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Mgnt and Patient Relations. - Preparation of quarterly Board Reports. Work with internal Audits to provide contract monitoring information. - Act as liaison with all regulatory agencies by: acting as liaison consultant to chairman, medical professional staff on Risk Mgnt/Regulatory Affairs issues; coordinator of incident reporting programs; coordinator of Medical Malpractice Prevention Program; coordinator of DOH and CMS survey activities; coordinates activity related to disciplinary actions/reporting of Licensed Health Care Providers to OPMC/OPD; preparation of all written responses of the above agency's.
