Assoc Regulatory Affairs Analyst TX Open (J#39906)

Purpose:

This role provides regulatory and scientific affairs support to the Regulatory Team in Research and Development.

Accountabilities:

The Regulatory Affairs Associate will collaborate predominantly with colleagues in Research and Development, Purchasing and other DPSG functions as well as outside suppliers to support the Regulatory Team. This requires effective research capabilities, strong organization, writing, communication and technical skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Reviews and approves new raw materials Leads the review of regulatory data associated with raw materials and facilitates updating of ingredients, including nutrition information, allergens, composition and other parameters Develops ingredient review guidelines and established best practices Prepares ingredient and formula external technical documentation, such as declarations of composition, ingredient and nutrition declarations Generates regulatory documentation in support of the regulatory team members Responsible for responding to Product Technical Service questions Gains understanding and knowledge in the area of new ingredient approvals through FDA and self-GRAS processes

Job Requirements:

Pre-Requisites:

The successful candidate will have a graduate or postgraduate degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Nutrition and 0-3 years of experience in the food industry.
